VAT is charged at the standard rate of £20%

Chargeable services include any meetings with you and perhaps others; any time spent traveling; considering, preparing and working on papers; letters or emails received and sent and making and receiving telephone calls.

Services not included in the prices above involve the services provided by third parties who will charge an additional amount, such as an expert.

There will be Land Registry searches in the region of £15, search fees of around £300, depending on your needs, a transfer fee payable with the Land Registry, which is dependent on the value of the property, and some insurance policies on occasion.

The Chartered Legal Executive dealing with this type of matter is Mrs Alison Greenwood, who charges £175 + VAT per hour. The quote provided includes any meetings, preparing the Contract/application to the Land Registry and any other necessary drafting. Alison has been a Chartered Legal Executive dealing with property conveyancing for 15 Years. Alison is assisted by Mrs Kathryn Makin, who charges £125 + VAT. Their supervisor is Mrs Deborah Hayden-Pawson, who qualified as a solicitor in 1990 and has over 30 years’ experience.
